Quick Tips for Success

Navigating NetGen

For optimal performance we suggest updating your web browsers; Internet Explorer 7.0 or later, or FireFox 3.6.8 or later. Application speed will vary based on internet connection.

User support personnel have permissions that allow access to modules, and functions within the modules to support users within your network. While some permissions have been set that allow administrators to update a user's account settings, all user content updates need to be made by the user themselves. This allows a user to become familiar with their account, content within their account, and the entire NetGen application. This also expedites user assistance and puts the "actions" in the responsibility of the user.

For example, a user may need assistance with adding an image to their signature. Your responsibility will be to guide them to the Support Generator and if needed walk them through the process. The Support Generator gives step by step instructions on how to accomplish this task and has been designed to assist users and give immediate support.

Group Admin Account

When administrators first log into NetGen, you are brought directly into the Group Admin account. In the upper left you will see Account Group: YOUR GROUP, then User Account: YOUR GROUP (Group Admin). All content that is created and shared with user accounts is created in the Group Admin account.

User Accounts

Within the User Accounts block you can search for a User Account by Account Name, External ID, Contact Email, Subdomain, or Show All.

1     Within the Search field, choose from the dropdown a search criteria.
        Example: Account Name.
2     Type in the User's Account Name.
3     Click Apply Filter.
4     User Accounts will display based on the criteria you chose. You will see the
User Account Name and Permission Group of the User.
5     Click on the User Account name to edit/view the User Account details.

Act as a User Account

Within the User Account details, you will see the General User Account Information of the user. Depending on permissions, some fields may be edited.

Act as a User Account
In order to administer the User Logins of the User or to view content within the user (Example: Prospect Generator), follow these steps:

1     Click on Act as this User.
2     The window will refresh.

In the Upper right corner of the screen, you will see User Account: NAME OF USER. You are now Acting as this User. Content that has been shared and content that has been loaded by the user will be visible within each module.

Note: Although you will be in the account of the user, you will still have administrative privileges and functions that are not available to the user.

Act as Group Admin

When acting as a User, all modules will display content and account information of the User Account. To back to Acting as a Group Admin, follow these steps:

1     Click on Account Settings.
2     Under the User Accounts block, click on Act as Group Admin.
3     The window will refresh and you will now be in the Group Admin User Account.
4     In the upper right corner of the screen you will see User Account: (Group Admin).
